CH 42 - My Yandere Girlfriend Hiding in the Dungeon Kills Me Over and Over Again

―42― Should I Feed the Villagers to the Puppet Core?

After leaving Agaha's side, I headed to the hidden room in the dungeon for some rest.

Making sure that Yudith the vampire wasn't using it, I entered.

"Master, what's our plan from here?"

As I sat down, the Puppet Core spoke up.

"Well..."

I nodded absentmindedly, feeling exhausted. I don't even want to think about anything right now.

"First, we need to find a way to escape this dungeon. And we also need to think about how you can become human."

"Oh, so you're actually going to think of a way for me to become human?"

"Of course."

Honestly, I have no idea why the Puppet Core has decided not to eat me. However, the current situation is not bad, so I need to continue cooperating with the Puppet Core's goal to ensure it doesn't change its mind.

"Do you have any ideas other than eating humans to become human?"

"Well, not really."

"I see..."

It would be great if there were at least some clues.

So, I'll think about it.

I've been manipulated and toyed around with by the Puppet Core for a long time. So, if there's any hint I can find...

"Hey, Puppet Core, you've possessed a lot of people before, right?"

"Yeah, that's right."

"What was it like back then? Could you tell me?"

"Well, I guess it's okay."

Saying that, the Puppet Core agreed.

"When I possess someone, I can control them to some extent—"

The Puppet Core's explanation then was the same as what happened when it possessed me in a different timeline.

However, I wanted to confirm something, which is why I made the Puppet Core explain it.

"Basically, the more monsters you slay, the larger you become, and the more you possess someone, the more you consume their being, right?"

"Yeah, that's right."

"Is it impossible to interpret that the more monsters you slay, the closer you get to becoming human?"

"Well, that's not really possible."

"Why are you so sure?"

I felt dissatisfied with the Puppet Core's quick denial. I've been giving it a lot of thought, after all.

"I don't become more human the more monsters I slay. I just get bigger to the point of consuming the person I'm possessing."

The Puppet Core muttered somewhat self-deprecatingly.

Thinking about it, that does make sense.

When the Puppet Core possessed me in a different timeline, the more monsters I killed, the larger it became, and eventually, it consumed me. Yet, it didn't become more human itself.

And now, as I control the Puppet Core, giving it skill points gained from defeating monsters transforms it from a shortsword to a greatsword. At Level 3, it even transforms into a massive beast named <Ruthless Predator>.

Both cases involve it getting larger, but it doesn't make the Puppet Core any closer to being human.

"So, should I feed the villagers to you then?"

"Villagers? What's that?"

I was asked that question, so I explained.

I told it about how the villagers persecuted me because of my silver hair, how they killed the person I loved, and how they pinned the blame on me and banished me to this dungeon.

"Hmm, my lord, you've been through a lot."

"Well, yeah. I want revenge against the villagers to the point where I want to kill them. So, if it's villagers, you're free to eat them."

"I see. Well then, I'll rely on your kindness and start eating the villagers."

"Thank you."

"First, let's focus on getting out of this dungeon."

"...Right."

After repeating this conversation a few times, I went to sleep, preparing for the next day.

It felt like I could finally sleep after a long time.

The next day, I left the hideout.

My destination was the deepest part of the dungeon, the boss room.

I've already leveled up considerably by defeating the mid-boss, the Golden Living Armor. So, I should be well-prepared to face the boss.

With that in mind, I'm ready to head to the boss room and aim to escape the dungeon.

"Oh my, when I didn't see the Parasitic Sword Puppet Core in its usual place, I wondered what could be going on. Just what kind of situation is this?"

After defeating the mini-boss, the giant eagle-like creature Griffon, she stood there.

The very Yudith the vampire.
